Banbha McCann’s practice combines painting, sculpture and architecture to examine the memories, expectations and desires held in objects and spaces, from the private and humble to the public and grandiose. Her work draws from film and design for their ability to encapsulate desire and fantasy, which combine in the narratives of McCann’s installations with lived experience and personal encounter.

Banbha is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, Creative Ireland and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. Her works are in private and public collections including the OPW and the Arts Council of Ireland Collection.
